Looks awesome! Nice work – I love it and can see clearly why it's +ev for you.

Out of curiocity, what specifically has it improved for you mentally?

Its little too early to tell but imo biggest leak that I had is that I tryed to play x-hours/month and I didnt give a shit how good I played it.

I took monthly goal to play 120hours but ~50 hours came from tilting :)

but now my new goal is 75hours of A/B-game.

second thing is that I dont want any bad(tilting) days anymore.

before mentaltracker I tryed to forget my tilting sessions. now I cant do that :)

and thats why I tilt less and end my sessions earlyr to avoid c-gameing.

and now Im focusing more to A-game ratio then $win.

so im still happy when I play good poker but loose. vice versa.

Awesome – the thing that stands out most to me here is that you tried to forget about it and now you can't. I love that!

Interesting stuff, what are you doing to rate whether it was an A/B/C game etc? Is it on how you felt it went, after review some time later, based on results at all?

Its an interesting point you make about ending sessions to avoid tilting, do you not think there could be a slight issue there? ie. if you quit early to avoid a tilt issue, isnt that a tilt issue in itself? Not saying dont do it, but maybe thats an area to consider. Whatever, keep up the good work because you are creating edge in an area 99.99% of poker players dont.

immediately after session I look how many hours I played and then rate how well I played just by feeling.. and after that I look my money won$ and other stats.

sometimes I make some corresction when I think I rated wrongly.

and by that "quiting because tilt" I didnt mean that I start to monkey-tilt and stack off lightly etc. I just means that im geting tired and I cant play my A-game. so I stop playing.

cheers :)

Ah right, gotcha, that makes good sense.

Another question as I am fascinated by this, have you found your definition of ABCDE game has progressed since doing this? For example is your E game looking a lot more like your C game of old? Is your B game better than a previous A game etc? It would be great if this tracker not only made you play your top end of your range more often, but also helped progress it much quicker also.

yes. my C-game has improved a lot.

because now I recognise how well I play and I know whats my leaks in that mindset.

for example when facing decision to bluff all in or not, I fold(take lower variance move) when I im C-gameing but i bluff AI when im A/B-gameing.

because I have noticed that when I C-game I tend to stack off to lightly and FPS.

cheers.

The way you're tracking it is looking great. Key question – is it helping you to perform/play better?

I have several clients who are doing similar things, but you've definitely taken it the furthest so far!

Check that – I just looked at your earlier graph – and from what I can tell you're worst – D/E games are nearly eliminated. Great stuff- how is tracking it helping you to do that?  Also, are you finding the quality of your A-game is improving?

My A-game isnt improving specially(but ofc its still improving) but I my C-F games are improving a lot.

basically when I D-F game then Im losing money and before mentaltracker I D-F gamed ~10hours /month.

And now only fewer then 1 hour.

and imo its all becouse I can now complete recognize what x-game Im playing.

when im D-F game – I just qouit playing.

when im C game im a lot more cautious/watchful and I dont make the mistakse I know I want to make.. for example when im OTB and thinking about 3beting.. I wont to it when im C-gameing becouse I know that I tend to 3bet too much when im not on my A/B-game.

so this kinde of awareness helped to improve my C game tragicly.

edit: and mentaltracker also helped my overall hapiness/well-beeing a lot  becouse I dont think about swings, losing/winning money, tilting etc anymore.

I just try to be satisfied with that day(so I could make "yes" note to "Am I satisfied with that day?") and thats all.. so when im losing a lot of money but A/B-gamed 4 hours then I just happy becouse of the hours I put in.

AND when for some reason I cant play poker(bad mood, hangover, etc) I can still be satisfied wiht that day. (ie when I try several times to play but cant becouse of tilt, I then workout, watch videos, etc and im still happy about that day(becouse I did everything in my power to have a perfect day) )

hope it makes sense.

Hello. I would also be interested in this tracking spreadsheet if you are still making it available.

Best,

Steven
