Jared has been a tremendous help to my game. For those that read my blog you are probably sick of hearing his name because I have mentioned our work together so many times. The thing is though, he has just been such an enormous help to me. I used to have to end most of my sessions early because I would just play and play until I would go on tilt and that would be the end of it. Now I am able to play VERY long sessions while mass multi-tabling and play virtually tilt free and can honestly say I now bring my A game to the table nearly every time I play poker.

It has been incredible. I have always grinded a ton of hands. But it used to take me all day to do it because I would play 2 hours,=2 0go on tilt, take a 2 hour break to get my head straight and then play 2 more and recycle. Now if I want to bang out 8 hours worth of hands, all I need is 8 hours or at most 9 hours time to do so because I can play the entire time tilt free. So not only am I now playing even more hands, but I am doing so while playing my A game and I have my life back again. That is one of the main things truthfully. Rather than poker being all consuming, it is now something that I play for a portion of the day and then have the rest of the day to be free to do the things I enjoy and not be a prisoner to the ups and downs of poker that will beat even the strongest of people into submission.

Poker is a tough game. Many underestimate the value of being able to free your mind up to make the best decisions possible. Trust me, it’s huge. Jared will help anyone to play their best and get out of poker what they always have known they were capable of achieving. At least I can certainly attest that that was the case with me as well as hundreds, if not thousands of Stoxpoker.com members.

I started working with Jared about 8 months ago. At the time i was playing 2/4nl-3/6nl. When I had my first session with Jared I was in the middle of the worst run of my poker career (breakeven for over 100k hands).

I was really frustrated and my anger at poker was affecting the rest of my life. I also had a mental block that made me terrified of playing 5/10nl+. After a few months of work with Jared I was able to make massive improvements in these areas and ended up having my first $100k month in November. And even better I learned how to ignore the short term swings, which used leave me in a bad mood that carried over into my personal life. Here’s a day that I probably would have lost 10 buyins and taken days to get over.

I can honestly say that working with Jared is one of the best investments I’ve ever made.

I actually hired Jared for private lessons after I watched his first video on Stoxpoker. Here’s my take on what he’s done for me and what any student of his should understand. I’ve been working with him on a semi-regular basis since May, and I’ve seen much more consistently high month to month results than I have in the past.

Throughout my poker career I’ve struggled with the mental game to some extent, and while it got marginally better as my understanding of poker deepened, there have always been some glaring weaknesses. My biggest weakness in the past was handling an extended run of bad variance, when I’d have losing or breakeven runs of 50,000 hands or more. That’s when I’d get knocked off my a-game, and I’d get frustrated early on in sessions. Another thing I’d do is harp on a bad play I made and beat myself up about it through the rest of the session.

Jared has helped me a ton because he helped me dive into the root of these problems and instructed me on what steps to take to improve my mental game weaknesses. I think a lot of players would love to read a book or be told what to do and have their mental game magically snap into focus. The problem is that you have to practice and learn how to eliminate these weaknesses if you want long run results. When you understand where your mental game lies on a learning curve and what you need to do to perfect that aspect of your poker game, then its an attainable long run goal. But basically it’s like any other skill that requires work and practice. Personally, I had no idea how to fix any of it, I just knew I had some issues and I couldn’t fix them myself. That’s where Jared’s been a huge help, he’s shown me what steps I need to take to fix these problems and keep them fixed. Any student should understand that he’ll have to actively work on the things Jared shows him, just talking to him will not somehow just fix everything. But that goes for instruction of any kind.

For me (and everyone’s mental game challenges are probably different) I’ve been able to maintain my concentration much better after experiencing some bad variance or a bad play. Staying objective and minimizing the impact of emotions is key to maintaining a high level of analysis and decision making. That part of my game has greatly improved. I’ve had few horrendous sessions where I started off losing 8 buyins, but I was able to play right through them because mentally I was fine. In the past, I would have been pretty rattled and been forced to quit because I couldn’t play well despite some profitable tables.

As far as harping on my mistakes, that area is so much better, I’m basically able to move on right away and forget about it. I can always review those hands later, not while I’m trying to keep playing at a high level. I can also play much longer sessions and stay focused for longer periods, and that means I make more money every day. That’s added up to much bigger monthly profits than I used to see. I’m also seeing progress in how I handle extended runs of bad variance. Fortunately I’ve only encountered one of those runs since working with Jared, and it went much smoother than it did in the past. I expect the next one to go better as well. Anyway, that’s been my experience, hope it’s helpful.

A few months ago I was doing very well with poker, I had a ton of money in the bank and was still in college. However, I always wondered how much money I could have had if I could play my A game all the time and not tilt. I had huge tilting problems, and often when not tilting I’d play my B or C g ame, for reasons beyond my contemplation.

I saw Jared testimonials on 2p2 and saw people saying what seemed like honest, gigantic transformations in their games. I figured I might as well give it a shot.

To my surprise Jared not only helped me with my poker game, but he also helped me get through a lot of issues I was going through in my life. In the past 4 months of sessions with Jared I have had 4 six figure months, and now am likely considered one of the top 10 HU NL players on Full Tilt. I wonder where my game would be at had I not gotten Jared to help, and I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have made nearly as much money or had the sort of contentment I have in everyday life I have now.

I’ve been procrastinating writing a recommendation for Jared’s coaching, largely because I was afraid that I couldn’t do it justice. So I’ll make it simple: Jared is a smart, hard working, funny guy who is extremely good at his job. He manages to be both personal and professional, which is a hard thing to do.

If you have tilt issues that cost you money, then you’re downright silly not to work with him.

Alan Jackson

I worked with Jared for 3 months and the progress we made was nothing short of phenomenal.

Pre-Jared I wasn’t a big tilter, I’ve never broken anything or punched a hole in the wall. So going in I wasn’t looking so much for tilt control than help with maintaining my A game for extended periods and meeting my goals. After 3 months we had accomplished every thing I hoped for. I’m a much stronger player for having gone through his program.

I know a lot of people want to know exactly what he does and that’s difficult to answer in a paragraph or two, but I’ll give it a shot.

We went after each of my issues one by one. He would first give me a quick fix, a way circumvent the deeper underlying cause of the issue. Then he would hypothesize as to what were those underlying causes, we’d discuss it and develop/adjust the hypothesis until it rang true. Last, he would give me ideas how to eliminate those underlying issues.

As we got further in we went after smaller and smaller issues and returned to unresolved issues.

I was continuously amazed a Jared’s ability to get at the core of a problem. I’m fairly introspective and he’d draw connections that had completely escaped me and didn’t seem even remotely connected. Yet as soon as he would mention something it would ring so true.

I imagine this all sounds a bit far out, all I can say is that comparing my numbers before Jared and those after that there is a significant change. Internally I have a much more balanced and healthy view on poker and variance.

Bottom line. If you’re a winning player who is serious about reaching your full potential, you’ll take a small chance and try him out. The investment I made will be returned to me many times. I conservatively estimate that he will add another 100K to my bottom line over the next year. And that figure is assuming I stay at the same level grinding a moderate amount of hands.

I have been working with Jared for 4 months and it is difficult for me to imagine how much I was leaving on the table by not working with him. We have gone over all of the crucial aspects of the game (and also how they relate to life) and have tried to improve all areas. I am playing many more tables than I ever have and have been able to control my emotions much better than before.

This has led to increased time at the tables, more efficiency while playing, and a higher winrate. In addition, not having the daily ups and downs and stresses while playing has helped me be more relaxed as a person outside of poker.

As a coach, Jared does an excellent job in relating to me personally and I feel that it is tailored to me and my needs. He is very flexible with his time, does not watch the clock has been an invaluable tool in my pursuit of Supernova Elite as a midstakes grinder.

Jared and I had a couple of sessions and I can honestly say it did wonders for my game.

First I watched the Vids as a preparation, but on their own, they weren’t enough to get something going for me. But with our live sessions, it worked from the beginning on and after the 2nd session I had troubles coming up with big issues for the following sessions.

Jared doesn’t give you the fish, he teaches you fishing.
With this I mean I still have to deal with new small issues every now and then, but his techniques are so universally adaptable, that I’m capable of solving new problems on my own now.
Also it’s not only helpful for Poker, I use his stuff for “real live” issues as well.

Actually I expected to get taught some complicated techniques and at first glance was a bit disappointed and skeptical about how simple stuff he was teaching me. But it absolutely did the job for me and I am a different player now.

My main issues were tilt, my A-game not showing up in certain situations and being distracted by thinking about past hands. And I think we really got these mastered!

I’m still ranting at times while playing, but I’m so much more concentrated and wasn’t even close to breaking anything since we worked, and I destroyed a lot in the past
My A-game still does not show up 100%, but my C-game does show up like close to 0% and that’s a huge deal!

If you already worked with technical coaches, are a decent player, but have some emotional/mental issues, I think there is nothing that will help your game as quick and as much as a couple of coaching sessions with Jared.

Ben “NeverScaredB” Wilinofsky

Jared Tendler’s coaching offers a unique opportunity to improve on some of the most difficult skill sets for a poker player to master. It is unlike, and more important than, any technical coaching you could ever receive. He teaches you the things you need to be a successful poker player that you simply can’t learn by playing.

I have worked with Jared for 8 months now and would recommend his services to anyone who is serious about improving at poker. I initially solicited his services to help me through the emotional rollercoaster of achieving Supernova Elite, which he did, but he also helped me in many other areas in and out of poker.

Before we began working together, I knew I had some issues that I wanted to address, but I never made a concerted effort to solve them. I was mostly just hoping they would go away. Together we developed a plan to fix these problems, and not surprisingly, the plan worked.

I consider the time I spend working with Jared to be the most important activity I do to develop myself as a poker player. The money I have spent on his services has been recouped many times over. He is also a really nice guy, easy to deal with, and a consummate professional.

I will make this simple for everyone… If you have made it down to this post, you need to hire Jared. If you have read this far, you obviously suspect he could help and I can tell you that he can.

I have just finished my 4th session with Jared. Looking back at the player I was, and the progress I have made, I can say that I am a different person.

I was a ridiculous tilter, I had numerous sessions where I would tilt off 20-40 buy ins. In these sessions, I would play 7 games online and sometimes play over 24hours straight. I also had a hard time playing my A game on a day-to-day basis, and made huge mistakes every session even when I wasn’t tilting. I was not a very good player.

Since we started, I no longer care if I win day to day and I am pretty sure that my days of tilting off bankrolls are over.

It’s amazing the amount of work that Jared and I have done. He is very easy to talk to, and gives extremely good insight. In every session we had, I would have between 3-5 big “ah hah!” moments where he would challenge my beliefs and completely change my perspective.

The overall result for me was that I no longer need coaching at this time. I feel like I have the tools to coach myself, and monitor my progress. It is such a powerful feeling to know that you can change your poker game, along with your life and get what you really want.

Jared really cares about his clients, and he wants to help you get the results you want.

Jared has had an unimaginable impact on my game. When I contacted him I was on a 100k hand break even stretch. After the very first session with him my whole world turned around. Before talking with Jared, I was doing everything I could think of to get my game back on track such as session reviews, sweat sessions, coaching as both student and teacher, etc. You name it, I was doing it; however, I was still just not seeing the results.

Take a look a t this graph and you be the judge.

chart

When I first contacted him I really wasn’t sure about what exactly I wanted him to help me improve. All I knew is that I was running poorly and couldn’t seem to get out of this slump and I was hearing all kinds of great things about him so I figured that it couldn’t hurt to explore what he had to offer.

Before our first session together he gave me a questionnaire to fill out that would give him an idea of what was in my head and it also gave me lots of insight to different things I would like to work on to improve.

Ever since we spoke I have been running at 7.1ptBB/100 over what is now about 80k hands between the stakes of 1/2NL – 3/6NL. Granted this could be variance gracing me with its blessings but if you look at that graph you will notice I am break even for a long time, then ‘BAM’, after working with Jared it shoots straight up. Coincidence? I think not! Granted, we had much more to work on after the first session b/c the first session only scratched the surface of issu es to deal with but he got me back to being organized and in the right frame of mind.

The biggest changes in my game he has had is keeping me in a logical thinking frame of mind. We as people, allow emotions to guide our decision making whether we realize it or not. Other things we have worked on is playing at my peak performance at all times; however, this is not possible if you play poker everyday but we have developed some methods to come as close to doing this w/o draining all my mental energy so I can continue to play throughout the day.

Jared really is a good dude and easy to talk to. He is just real pleasant all around.

I know this is starting to sound like a cheesy ad or something but the fact is that I don’t work for him or get paid to say what I have said. I am just a very appreciative client of his b/c of the extra cash he has put in my pocket over the last month or so.

Thomas Frøslev

I was one of the first who tried getting mental coaching by Jared and I haven’t regretted it for a second.

During the sessions and after, I learned a ton about myself. Both with regards to my poker game, but also about myself in general.

The reason I approached Jared was so he could help me reduce my Tilt problems and today I almost never Tilt anymore and if I do, I have learned to see it myself and quit the games until I have stopped Tilting. That alone has had a huge impact on my Win rate and me moving up in stakes.

When I approached him I had just moved up to NL1K, but I was “afraid” of all the money on the line and today I play all the way up to NL10K, without being “afraid” of losing a BI worth 10000$.

I have had different poker coaches helping me move up in stakes and they of course are one of the reasons I play the limits I do, but I am confident that without the help from Jared I wouldn’t have played HS games.

Despite the fact that I contacted Jared because I wanted help with the mental side of poker, I actually think the best and most important things I have learned is how people react to certain things and more importantly, how I react. I use that knowledge in my everyday life and I like the fact that I know how the human brain works in different situations.

So I can highly recommend Jared to anyone and I already have, and some of them have already had sessions with Jared and they agree, that getting better at the mental aspect of poker is the best investment they could have done.

“Ladymuck” on 2+2

There’s plenty of detail about how Jared works in the references he has already gotten, I just wanted to add that I see a lot of posts on forums along the lines of “I have trouble grinding” “I protect the win too much” “I monkey tilt” followed by a “how do I change it?” question.

The truth is each player has different causes while experiencing the same symptoms, and it takes a more specific, personal evaluation to enable you to solve whatever is bothering you about your game. Generic work-arounds found on a forum may stop the bleeding for a while, but they won’t actually solve anything.

Jared has a decade of general counseling experience to draw upon, which is invaluable because your poker problems may well stem from other areas of your life away from the tables. It took just 3 lessons for us to get to the bottom of my grinding problem, & my only regret is I wish I’d hired him sooner than I did.

Ralph Ratchford

I’ve been working with Jared for around 5 months and just wanted to let people know he has been a huge help and in my mind has almost become invaluable. I’ll try to break down some of the things that I have improved since working with him.

Going in I had absolutely no idea what to expect, I liked the idea of what he had to offer and decided to give him a call. After my first 4 sessions I knew that this was defiantly one of the smarter things I have done to improve my poker career.

Some of the things that have been improved since I have began working with Jared are:

a. Number of hours I play a week (increase of about 4-6)
b. An increase of 1.5-2 BB/100 hands
c. Tilt, (stopping it from showing up, and when it does getting of faster)
d. Playing better when I am playing, so basically playing my A game more often
e. Decrease of anxiety I used to feel when playing at higher tables (which has allowed me
to play better at higher levels)
f. Procrastination (which I was doing a lot of)
g. Being able to play longer when I do sit down and play

Those are just some of the things Jared has helped me with. Jared himself is personable, friendly and very easy to work with. He has a great ability (in my mind anyway) to figure out how to make you realize for yourself some of the stumbling blocks that are causing your problems at the poker table like tilt, anxiety, sub-par play, ect. And then he starts working with you to get rid of the problems of at least seriously reduce how much they effect you when playing. You can tell he also really wants to help an it shows in the sessions when your dealing with him, HE’S NOT just putting in hours at the office. I can’t imagine him not being able to help anybody who really wants the help and is willing to put a little effort. He’s worth every dollar and more in my mind.

A little bit about myself: I am 30 years old, have a masters degree in electrical engineering and a full time job using my degree. I had been playing poker for about 3 years when I contacted Jared 1.5 years ago. For the first 27 months I had been playing 1/2-3/6 with a bit of 5/10 mixed in and then I was recommended to take a shot at 10/20 by a poker friend. I did that and everything went well for the first 6 months but then things took a turn for the worse.

My results got a lot worse and my play had clearly deteriorated. No matter how hard I tried I couldn’t get my game back to where I wanted it to be. Every time I sat down I expected to lose and I made tons and tons of tilty/bad decisions. I had been coached by a couple of very good players. Every time it turned out that my main problem was tilt and for some reason I just could not do the simple thing and not tilt, so I decided to contact Jared for some help on this.

Expectations: I felt like I had a good idea about what to expect when I contacted Jared since I had been watching his videos on Stoxpoker and had read his article on 2p2. I expected us to mostly talk and for him to explain to me what I needed to change to become tilt free. What I got was a combination of what I expected and some things I did not expect. Our sessions took place over Skype and I got lots of assignments, muscle relaxation, breathing exercises, things to work on before, during and after poker

Benefits: Jared quickly helped me identify what triggered tilt and to basically identify it before everything blew up which was an immediate help. I became more focused at the table, I started working hard on my game, I stopped going on autopilot, I stopped focusing on results and started focusing on playing well (this is key and I believe that the way to get here is different for everyone – Jared will help you find your way to do this). These are all short term results but as time has gone by I have seen that they have turned into long term results as well. Yes, I can still feel disappointed after taking a lot of beats and yes poker can still be a frustrating game to play, but the way I deal with these things and the fact that I am still able to take pride in playing no matter how much I’ve lost in that session have made poker a very different experience for me.

My opinion on Jared as a coach: He is friendly, on time, competent, easy to schedule with and as all great coaches he cures diseases in stead of fixing symptoms. I also feel like it’s important to say that you should not hire Jared as a coach if you’re not open minded about ideas that you may not be used to and if you’re not willing to work hard. This guy will tell you what you need to hear not what you might want to hear.

Outside poker: I got back to being a winning player, became able to play more tables and longer sessions, shaved 8 shots of my golf HCP, lost 62 pounds by running and dieting, became a happier person overall, started focusing on what I want to achieve, stopped procrastinating, became more efficient and relearned to work hard instead of just sitting back and expecting to do well.

Taylor “clean” Lackie

Jared’s videos and his coaching were invaluable for my progression as a player and I strongly recommend him to anyone struggling with their mental game.  He breaks down how your head works, why you tilt, why you lose motivation etc, and lays out a foundation for how you will overcome those mental hurdles.  I should say his methods will not take effect without hard work from the student, but with time and effort, I can all but guarantee success.

“pr0wler”

Finished the four initial sessions with Jared the other week. Before we started I was a little skeptical about whether the investment would be worth it since I am a small stakes player, but very quickly I realized how valuable the les sons were. Not only were they very helpful to my game and outlook on poker, but I also found them extremely interesting. He helped organize my game, keep my motivation level high, control my tilt and anxiety, and provided a very useful and practical outlook on poker.

I look back on myself 2 months ago and I realize how mentally aware I am of my poker/player surroundings, and I feel so much more comfortable at the table. I’m still getting better and I have improved tons over the past while and hope to continue to do so by working with Jared.

“Fletcher 19″ on 2+2

I have been working with Jared for the last 5 or 6 months and the progress has been amazing. Before we started I essentially hated poker and just played enough to get by and that was it. With his help I identified the reasons for my dislike of poker and what I could do to get over it, this of course was closely tied to my tilt also.

I will say that you have to be ready to put the work in but as long as you are game for that then I am sure Jared will help you a ton.

Like everybody else said he is also a super nice guy and is considerate if (like me) you have a hectic kind of lifestyle where you may have to change appointments.

For everyone who is considering working with Jared and is not sure if he/she should do it I’d like to share my results here.

Since I finished the programme with Jared (3 months ago) I have been able to play almost 2x as many hands as I have before. I also play a lot more focused than I used to. I cannot really put numbers on that, but my ‘previous’ C-game is really not existent anymore and my improvement as a poker player was a lot faster than before.

To be honest, I think that a small part of the improvement that I noticed also has to do with the fact that having done the work with Jared, I also felt more confident in that I could achieve my goals. For example I think part of the reason why I played that many more hands was that I was confident that I would be able to.

What impressed me the most when working with Jared was that he was able to always ask the right questions. He didn’t just tell me what I would have to do, but he asked a couple of questions and when I tried to answer them, often times the solutions to my mental problems came to my by myself. He just pushed me a little bit into the right direction and the solutions came naturally.

Whenever you book a poker coach it is sort of like shooting in the dark. You have to pay for it and just hope that it works out. I have made both, positive and negative experiences with coaching so far. However from my experience, the coachings that work out will yield many many times more profit than the losses from coachings that haven’t worked out.

Luckily the coaching with Jared was very enjoyable (it was still hard work though ) and even more profitable. I am very glad I did it.

Thanks, Jared

I worked with Jared about 2 months. Over my two year poker career I have struggled in an extreme way putting in decent hours, even though I desperately wanted to do it. I had read a ton of personal development material and was very slowly working towards improving my habits.

Working with Jared accelerated this process greatly, after two months0Awith Jared I felt like I had been largely cured of my underachieving habits. I feel like I now have a more accurate perception of reality, and also have tools to work through future problems myself more effectively.

The key however is, you have to be willing to do the work that Jared lays out for you, even if it is uncomfortable or painful (some of us have demons we need to face).

I highly recommend working with him.

Working with Jared is easily the most +EV investment I’ve ever made. See….most people aren’t very good at learning, including me. Whether it’s because they fear they aren’t good enough, or they convince themselves they don’t need it, the truth is that lots of folks have trouble getting better at things. This is even more prevalent in poker because of the barrage of negative reinforcement being thrown at the player: suckouts, downswings, lolrunbad, etc.

And even though I was a winning player, I was limiting myself by taking some of the losing personally. It was preventing me from taking the next step. After working with Jared for a few weeks, we isolated some personal based fears that were being triggered by the inevitable downswings and suckouts. And after breaking down these fears, we found that not only were a lot of them irrational and unfounded, but that they were taking up way too much mental space. That space has now been cleared and is devoted to getting better, and that has changed everything for me.

I still make mistakes, but I’m no longer scared of them . I still go through downswings, but I don’t take them personally anymore. That undercurrent of fearlessness, of understanding the game and being in control of my emotions, is truly liberating, and I credit Jared with setting me down that path.

Hey guys, a lot has been said about Jared’s coaching, so it’s tough to come up with something different… I had a couple sessions with him +4 months ago, while I was having some sick swings. I was a meditation teacher before, so I kinda have a background in mental game, even though it was tough to handle what I was passing. Jared got my head straight, we worked through a lot of issues I had, probably in record time as I did my homework watching his vids and studying what we discussed during sessions.

I’ll leave you guys with the recent graph I posted in BBV.

If you have any doubt if Jared services are geared towards you, give the guy a chance and you’ll be blown away.

“WhiteheatSYD”

I have worked with Jared for nearly a year now. People often ask what we do in our sessions. It is difficult to explain as the sessions are so tailored to my needs. We have broken down so many different aspects of my life and poker mentality to improve the foundations. Success is never going to come over night, but piece by piece stronger foundations have been laid. Jared was my last roll of the dice as I was ready to walk away from poker.

It was far from a gamble. I have been enable to improve steadily with Jared, and have now taken the step to play full time. Without the relationship that has been built with Jared this would still just be a dream.

Whether I just need a check in, been on crazy monkey tilt, or just need to bounce some ideas of him. Jared is always willing to give me the time, and has the understanding that it is required. I am not sure I would class him as a poker pyscologist but more as a life coach and friend.

I am looking to forward to a long and successful relationship. With the edges so small in poker, your mindset and discpline is so important.

Don’t give up that edge.

Hiring Jared as a mental coach was one of the best investments I have made in my professional poker career.

Jared’s approach is extremely well thought out and professional. Through our discussions he was able to identify the underlying causes of my mental lapses, frustrations, and leaks and has helped me greatly to understand the steps I can take to improve.

Jared is a great teacher and a funny and friendly guy. His interest in improving his client’s mental state is genuine. I would say without any reservations that the 4 hours of mental coaching that I received from him was more valuable to my professional poker playing than any other poker coaching I have had.

For all those gym goers out there. If you have ever spent a good amount of time at the gym, you have undoubtedly noticed, “that guy”. That’s right, you’ve seen him in the gym every time you’re there, working out seemingly as hard as everyone else. What makes him “that guy” is that even though he is obviously committed to getting stronger/bigger he is still that damn 165 pounder he was last year. He picks up the same weights everyday but never gets any stronger. He looks like he is working just like the others, but for whatever reason the results aren’t there. Now, while I am sure I could diagnose this guy’s problem if I were to watch him more closely, I won’t, mostly because that’s not the point I am trying to make.

When it comes to poker and poker progress six months ago, I was “that guy”. I felt as though no one on the planet was working their ass off at poker as hard as I was. I had been though a few poker coaches, done tons of math, watched every video, and played as much poker as I could fit in. Still, I was really struggling to move up in stakes and it was near impossible to play consistently. I had so many issues, some I knew about, others I had never noticed. There really isn’t any reason for me to write out everything that Jared has helped me with here, mostly because you and I are probably very different. He isn’t going to put you into a program. He is going to figure you out.

The bottom line here is that since I started working with Jared I have been able to make a pretty rapid move-up in limits. I am able to play way more poker. My improvement in the game is very organized and streamlined. I am getting the best of the procrastination issues that have plagued me my whole life. Last, and maybe most importantly, I have changed the way I think about success and how my previous view has always held me back in my pursuits. One last thing, last night after my session with Jared, my wife asked, “How many sessions have you done with Jared now?” I responded, “I just finished my fourth.” Immediately she gives me “YOU AREN’T DONE WITH HIM YET ARE YOU!” Sounds like I’m not the only one who has noticed a difference.

Working with Jared has been by far the best value I’ve received in poker coaching, and I’ve worked with some of the best. Not only will he help you to identify and eliminate your weaknesses but along the way teach you to do what he does, so when the coaching is over you’re not left out in the cold, you become your own mental game coach.

Working on your mental game isn’t just something you should do, it’s something you NEED to do, and I’m yet to find a better guide through that journey than Jared. Safe travels :) Click here to read Mitch’s recent feature in Australia’s WestWeekend.
